I have often said that when I am fortunate enough to get extended family together I feel that it is an honor to take their photos.
The relationships that I was able to celebrate were heartwarming. Mother & child, grandparents and grandchildren together, cousins enjoying each others company….

Whenever I have the pleasure of photographing a family every few years I feel truly blessed that I am able to do the work that I do. I have photographed a few of these kids for years and this is the second time that I have had the honor of seeing all the sisters and cousins together. When I am fortunate enough to have a job like this I am able to watch the kids grow and document a slice of history for the family.
Since I have three girls myself, I love to see how this family makes an effort to meet up every summer with the kids so that “cousin time” is treasured. 
These girls all live in three different states….two different coasts and they can still manage to carve out family time. Not only is it obvious that they all enjoy each other’s company but one can also see that it s a real treat for their mom. She gets to be with her daughters but savors the grandchildren moments even more!

It was such a treat to meet the Heitmann family last week! They stopped on their way to Ocean City and we had a beautiful evening to take some family photos.
Linstead is a terrific spot for photos …..every season of the year! However, in the summer, it is extra special Everything is lush and green and flowers are popping up all around. When I am able to add a lovely family into the mix, my day is made! In addition, with two little ladies as cute as these gals, my job is easy! When Meghan asked if she could bring her boyfriend to join us for her family session, I told her that would be great…the more the merrier. Another Mike joined the group and I think he had the toughest job of all…..trying to explain to Murphy that the party wasn’t for him! He came in like a hurricane but settled down once he realized everyone didn’t come to Linstead to play with him.
I was so happy to photograph this adorable dog…….certainly was big but he was also one of the happiest, lovable dogs I have seen. I could tell that he was well loved and certainly gets lots of attention!
