As an Annapolis Family photographer it is always a treat when I am able to be a part of a birthday celebration…especially in Sherwood Forest! This family had a whole weekend of fun planned so I was thrilled to be asked to document a small part of their time together…after all that is the best birthday gift of all!
The whole family gathered in Sherwood and it was so obvious that they all had so much fun ….adults and children together. Sons, daughters, sisters, cousins, grandparents and parents….FAMILY…..that is what makes the world go round! With the busy lives that we all live it is a wonderful gift to see all these people come together to celebrate a special birthday.

Everyone was patient as we arranged and rearranged groups.Oftentimes it is difficult with such a big group…especially in hot weather when there are so many fun distractions in Sherwood Forest on a Sunday morning! The best part of my job as an Annapolis family photographer is meeting new families. Mothers Day was the best as I was thrilled to head down to Bay Ridge to take family portraits of this adorable family. Although you may not believe me due to all the rain we have been getting, we were surrounded by sunshine everywhere on this particular morning. I have not seen Conor for quite some time. I photographed his family many years ago in Linstead so it was a real treat for me to see him as a high school senior and have the opportunity to take his portraits.
It is never easy for seniors to smile for the camera…especially boys! Conor did a great job just relaxing and just being himself and that shows in the natural way he handled himself while we worked together.
