After what has seemed like years of trying to get these kids together for family photos we finally hit the jackpot before Thanksgiving. In addition to the kids , Mom & Dad decided to join in and even Grandmom stopped by to be a part of the session. There is something very special about having extended family close by and when a grandparent can join their grandchildren to capture a moment in time I consider that a gift. We have been blessed with the most incredible weather this spring and fall. I know people talk about how brutal the winter may be and we should brace ourselves for the worst. So what? We went to Linstead Beach and found some spots were could take advantage of the great fall colors. The sun was out and the weather was warm enough that no one had to wear big, bulky coats. I always think that kids can relax and be more spontaneous when they have some say in what they are wearing. It was nice to see that even though these kids coordinated their colors, their personalities were reflected in their individual outfits which gives some great detail to their family photos!!
Thank you to the Melendez kids for spending time with me on an afternoon when they most likely would have liked to be doing something else! I hope they had as much fun as it appeared that they were having when I looked through my lens!
