Gathering family together is not as easy as it seems. With school, afternoon and weekend activities, sports, etc. it becomes a difficult task to get everyone on the same page. When you try and add grandparents into the equation it becomes even trickier! That being said, once you pull everyone together, the rewards will be rich. Children that have grandparents present in their lives benefit in so many ways. They have so many lessons to teach and so much love to give and they never seem to tire of spending time with their grandchildren. After all, they don’t have to raise them and and can go home when they have had enough!

I was very grateful that the Johnsons chose me to photograph their family. I know the boys would have rather been anywhere, doing something other than having their photos on this particular evening. I hope when it was all said and done that it wasn’t too painful and that they had a little bit of fun. I heard some laughter along the way so I am pretty sure that it wasn’t all bad! Most of the laughs occurred when we added the two family dogs to the photos! They definitely wanted in on the session so once we wrangled them down all was good with the gang.

Having grandparents join the family for these photos was an added bonus. Today these photos will be for them…memories captured with their beloved grandchildren.
