It was right before school started and I I know that this was on their mom’s bucket list to complete before their fall routine began. The weather was spectacular and mom did a great job with the clothing….it was so fun to have bright colors, and fun patterns on these great kids.

Summer seems to come to an end faster and faster every year. When you youngest is getting ready to head off to college it seems to come even faster! As parents we try and pause to reflect on how quickly the years have flown by and we just can’t seem to wrap our arms around it all. How in the world did these kids grow up , graduate high school and prepare to zoom out the door to go to college? We never seem ready to enter that empty nest stage but the kids seem ready to take on the world!
I was so happy that we were able to get this session in for the Davis family before everyone headed off to school! I was even happier that mom and dad decided to join in the fun and get in some photos. I know it isn’t easy to take time off from work for something like this but I truly believe that once you do it the rewards are great. Think about it….how often do we all get to have pictures taken with our children??? Especially mom????

The colors were perfect and the family was dressed perfectly. I always love getting to know the kids that I am photographing and this day was no exeception. Two terrific kids…good looking, polite and just plain nice! I hope they had as much fun as I did….I kept finding more spots to shoot and they just smiled and probably couldn’t wait for me to leave!

Another fun family in Sherwood Forest! We were so lucky to get this photo shoot in…we were scheduled for a morning session and woke up to pouring rain…..we didn’t have a big window due to travel plans so we met over at the Clubhouse mid afternoon.
This is always a tough time to take photos if it is sunny…we weren’t expecting lots of sunshine but we got it! We made the best of it and actually had fun~
The kids were great and the whole group was patient as we played up at the Clubhouse and headed to the beach. Between killer eyes and the great clothing choices, this family was right on.
