We went to Linstead Beach and found some spots were could take advantage of the great fall colors. The sun was out and the weather was warm enough that no one had to wear big, bulky coats. I always think that kids can relax and be more spontaneous when they have some say in what they are wearing. It was nice to see that even though these kids coordinated their colors, their personalities were reflected in their individual outfits which gives some great detail to their family photos!!

Another beautiful fall day and another wonderful family! I had the pleasure of photographing the Savages in Baltimore recently and the weather couldn’t have been more lovely. The leaves were at their peak and the colors were spectacular.
They invited their extended family to join them for photos and I applaud them for this. I am very vocal about the fact that these moments are fleeting. I love when daughters get together with their mom for a photo session. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing the Kaszubas as they did just that! It was a gorgeous fall day in Annapolis and we made our way around St John’s College campus dodging students here and there but finding great spots to take our shots!
It is so interesting to watch the interaction between sisters when they are with their mom. It was very clear who liked to take charge and lead the way. I loved photographing this wonderful family!!! We tried for weeks to schedule a date to pull everyone together for a photo session and between busy schedules and the weather we weren’t sure if we would be able to make it happen. But luck was on our side and we managed to rally the troops and score a beautiful evening at the same time.
I have always said that I love when parents join their children in the sessions they schedule….when grandparents join in, it is an extra special bonus. When families are lucky enough to include grandparents as an integral part of everyday life, I truly believe that they are the lucky ones.
