These boys are the cutest. It took a little while for them to warm up to having their photos taken by a stranger but I think we were all friends by the end. It isn’t easy to be out in the heat while someone is telling you to relax & smile if that isn’t what you had in mind for a day of fun. But a few tickles and bribes later we succeeded in seeing some happy faces.

Another lovely night and another wonderful family! I had the pleasure of photographing the Steeles recently and I so enjoyed my time with them. It will only take you a minute to see that this little girl was totally capable of stealing my heart…..and that she did! Between the curls & the eyes she was just one big package of adorableness!!!
Her little brother was pretty cute too. I am sure that once he gets a little older she will be telling him what to do and when to do it! But for now he is simply and observer in all that goes on around him.

Photographing children is a so much fun for me. When they are young and innocent it seems that their carefree personalities shine through no matter what they are doing. As a photographer, if I can catch them while they are just being themselves in I am lucky enough to document these moments for parents. In this case, for grandparents too!

What a treat for me to take Jake and Sophia’s engagement photos. Since they live in Chicago it was hard to find a date when we could sneak this in but since they are both from Annapolis they knew this was where it had to be done! I was the lucky one to spend the morning with them….and, actually the early evening too!
These two are made for each other. Just the little bit of time I spent with them made me sure of that. They are funny and adorable and make each other laugh. I honestly don’t know how Sophia walked around town in her high heels but she nailed it! Jake had more patience than many other guys I know. It was hot and we spent a lot of time together 🙂 …..He certainly deserved a few beers after this!

We spent a little time over on Harness Creek in a spot that felt like heaven on earth. It is where they will celebrate their wedding next summer and I know it will be a spectacular party!
