The best part of my job as an Annapolis family photographer is meeting new families. Mothers Day was the best as I was thrilled to head down to Bay Ridge to take family portraits of this adorable family. Although you may not believe me due to all the rain we have been getting, we were surrounded by sunshine everywhere on this particular morning. I think every day is Mothers Day…from the moment you know that you are having a baby, life changes and thoughts of what it will be like to be a new mother fill your head. You take care of yourself and watch what you eat and you exercise. You start to glow and smile just because. And yes, I know there are moments when you may feel sick or not yourself but you know that it is only temporary. You read all the newborn books and hear all the stories and then one day you feel the baby kick and it all becomes real. So in spite of all the sleepless nights ( and maybe days as well), the craziness of the new normal, the constant feeding and changing, this new person in your life will bring you the greatest happiness that you will ever feel. I have not seen Conor for quite some time. I photographed his family many years ago in Linstead so it was a real treat for me to see him as a high school senior and have the opportunity to take his portraits.
It is never easy for seniors to smile for the camera…especially boys! Conor did a great job just relaxing and just being himself and that shows in the natural way he handled himself while we worked together.
